The short stories, poetry, and personal essays of Lori Horvitz have appeared in a variety of literary journals including Hotel Amerika, 13th Moon, The Jabberwock Review, and Quarter After Eight. Her writing has also appeared in many anthologies including Rite of Passage: Backpacking 'Round Europe (Lonely Planet), Love Shook My Heart 2 (Alyson), and Boomer Girls (University of Iowa). She has been awarded writing fellowships from Yaddo, Cottages at Hedgebrook, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Blue Mountain Center. At present she is an Associate Professor of Literature and Language at University of North Carolina at Asheville.
